Download the payslip PDF from Workday
Workday sign-in is specific to your employer. HR usually sends a company Workday address rather than one shared login page. Once you are in, open Pay, then Payslips. That is Workday's name for the pay stub, which is why the search is usually "Workday payslip to Excel."
Select one period, then use the PDF button or print. Save the file and upload it here. If you print several payslips into one PDF, split them before uploading. Each file is read as a single statement. A photo of a printed payslip will be rejected. Export the PDF from Workday again instead.
Earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer-paid benefits
Workday payslips commonly split those four blocks. StubCSV follows section headings when it sees them, and it also classifies lines by words such as Regular, Overtime, Federal, Medicare, 401(k), and employer match. Employer-paid benefits land in an employer contributions category.
Those employer-paid lines are not subtracted inside the net-pay check. That check is gross minus employee taxes minus employee deductions. If your payslip's net doesn't match that simple formula because of a reimbursement or another one-off line, you'll get a warning with the difference. The warning is a prompt to compare the PDF, not a corrected payslip.
Excel for a mortgage or relocation packet
A Workday payslip is awkward to drop into a spreadsheet a lender already built. The CSV uses one set of columns so you can paste several periods under each other. Excel opens the CSV with a double-click. Google Sheets can import it too. Year-to-date columns come along when the payslip prints them, which is what many applications want beside the current period.
Rate and hours appear on earnings rows when those values are in the text. Workday layouts are configured per company, so read the preview against the PDF before you send the sheet anywhere. Paid plans can download a formatted .xlsx file. The free download is the CSV, and the numbers match.
